While various forms of cloth baby carriers have been used around the world for thousands of years, the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling was one of the first to be widely used in the United States. In the 1980's, a young Californian mother named Tracy was fortunate enough to have the Dr. Sears as her family pediatrician. Dr. Sears is one of the grandfathers of attachment parenting in this country, and he encouraged Tracy to wear her high-needs baby.
While baby-wearing was counter-cultural in the 1980's, Tracy could see immediately what a difference it made in her quality of life. She became a distributor for Dr. Sears' slings, and eventually got the support of La Leche League International to create the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling. Tracy kept the breastfeeding mother at the forefront of her mind as she designed the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling. After many years, Tracy passed the business along to her friends Mark and Rebecca, who have updated and added to the excellent original design of the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling.
The new and improved SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling has a reduced amount of padding, making it even more adjustable, trimmer and more comfortable than ever. The shoulder pad of the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling is now two inches narrower and made from a softer, lighter batting. This results in the same comfort as the original, with less bulk. The rails, or edges, of the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling extend to provide comfort for the upper arm, and they are also stuffed with a lighter and softer batting. Finally, a few inches of batting have been removed from the rails near the rings, which results in greater adjustability and flexibility with sizing, allowing carriers of different sizes more opportunities to share a SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling.
While some babywearers find great comfort in an unpadded ring sling, the makers of the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling are adamant that the padding adds a great deal of comfort for both parent and child. The SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling comes in five different sizing, and sizing is crucial. When the baby is snug and tight in the sling, the parent can be truly hands-free. The lower rail of the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling should fall close to your waist. When the baby is snug inside the sling, they should ride comfortably above your waist level.
Another important aspect of the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling is the construction of the shoulder area, which is designed so that the fabric spreads out wide enough to distribute your baby's weight. Making sure the shoulder is spread out over your shoulder cap allows the fabric to spread out evenly across your back, assuring comfort in the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling.
The SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling is made in the USA of 100% cotton which is lightweight and breathable, allowing for plenty of air circulation and keeping your baby cool. Mark and Rebecca have comfortably worn the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling in the desert and the hot, humid south.
And finally, you can be comfortable in the SlingEZee Padded Ring Sling knowing it has kept parents and children close for over 25 years!

If you are still unsure of your size, use a piece of string to measure from the cap of your right shoulder across your body to your left side at the waistline. If it is between 23 and 26 inches we would recommend the Regular size, if between 19 and 23 inches the Petite size, and if between 26 and 28 inches the Long size.
To check to see if you are wearing the correct size SlingEZee, put your SlingEZee on with the tail pulled through the rings until the label is just below. Ensure that the shoulder pad is on your shoulder cap, rather than on top of your shoulder. Check to see where the lower padded rail touches your body. The correct size will hit close to your waist. If it is closer to your hip, the sling is too long. If it comes up under your arm, the sling is too small.
