The creators of the Rockin' Baby Pouch started their company making Rockin' Baby Slings when their first children were born in 2002 and they couldn't find any cool, funky baby carriers that matched their sense of style or function. They started looking for vintage fabrics, beautiful linens and fun trims to make slings that would get noticed. Soon their slings were in demand!
Natasha and Lisa (and lots of happy customers) loved their slings, but realized a pouch is a better fit for some people. They put the same spirit of funky fashion into creating the Rockin' Baby Pouch, making it easy to use, super fashionable, and incredibly versatile. Many pouches must be fit to the exact size of the wearer, but the Rockin' Baby Pouch is adjustable with a series of zippers, so it can be shared among users or as you gain or lose weight. A very thin rail of padding adds cushioning for the backs of baby's leg when in the hip carry.
All Rockin' Baby Pouches are designed and manufactured in Los Angeles, where the workers receive a fair, living wage. All the fabrics are breathable, high-quality natural fibers that have been pre-shrunk so you don't have to worry about shrinking or colors running. Rockin' Baby Pouches are completely reversible and have two small pockets with Velcro closure on the shoulder zipper cover, perfect for stashing your keys or cell phone.
You can feel completely safe and secure with your baby in the Rockin' Baby Pouch (though please use common sense.) Rockin' Baby Pouches have been safety tested to hold up to 420 pounds. And while your child may go through some amazing growth spurts over the next three years, we are confident they will not exceed 420 pounds. The zippers have been individually tested to hold up to 130 pounds each.
The Rockin' Baby Pouch can be used from the day your baby is born until they reach 35 pounds. It is excellent for breastfeeding, working at home while keeping baby close, in social situations, or running errands. Five different carrying positions are available, depending on your baby's physical development and their need for stimulation or security.
The Rockin' Baby Pouch does an excellent job of distributing the baby or toddler's weight across your shoulder and upper back, and as you wear an older child, the weight distributes to your shoulders, back and hips. The fabric on the shoulder can be pulled down to form a cap that distributes the weight even more. It can also be helpful to switch shoulders from time to time.
