The Okkatots Baby Carrier is distinct from some of the popular baby carriers on the market in a number of ways. First, the Okkatots Baby Carrier is designed to adjust in two directions to custom fit a baby from 7 pounds, up to 25 pounds. The pouch portion of the carrier detaches from the harness, to easily go on the baby like a diaper. The babywearer puts the harness on their own body, and then attaches the pouch with the baby already inside. This feature makes it easier to get a custom fit while both baby and babywearer are relaxed and comfortable. It also makes it easy to remove a sleeping baby by simply releasing the pouch portion (with the baby in it) and laying it down on the bed or crib.
In the Okkatots Baby Carrier, the baby is carried close to the parent’s chest, for maximum support. When the pouch is contracted around a tiny baby, there is extra support around the baby’s back. The harness distributes the weight evenly and comfortably, since it is widest at the baby wearer’s shoulders. The top straps go over the baby’s shoulders to connect the pouch portion to the harness.
