Description

If you take a poll of babywearers in the know, the vast majority will recommend a Moby Wrap as the ideal carrier for a new baby. The Moby Wrap is the softest, snuggliest baby carrier on the market, hugging your newborn close to your body and continuing the womb experience a little while longer.

While there is a slight learning curve to putting the Moby Wrap on, it's much easier than it looks, and the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. There are no buckles, snaps or fasteners, and the wide fabric of the Moby Wrap distributes your baby's weight evenly across both shoulders and your back. One size fits most, and a Moby Wrap can be shared between partners of very different sizes (TIP: a very small person can simply wrap the ends around their waist an additional time before tying). The Moby Wrap can even be tied on at the beginning of the day, and baby can be popped in and out all day long, for ultimate convenience.

The 100% cotton used in the Moby Wrap is slightly stretchy, but still extremely supportive and secure. The 5.5 meters of fabric are slightly tapered on the ends, which allows for less bulky tying. The fabric is safety tested for use up to 45 pounds, though most people are comfortable up to 35 pounds. The Moby Wrap is machine washable and dryer safe, allowing for all the inevitable messes of babyhood to be quickly dealt with.

If you live in a very hot climate, the Moby Wrap may not be ideal for the summer. It is 100% cotton and the fabric does breathe very well, but it is a lot of fabric wrapped around your entire torso, and some people get warm in extremely hot weather. (Though many a determined babywearer have been known to wear their baby with nothing on but the Moby Wrap!)

With the Moby Wrap, you never have to put your precious newborn down. You can soothe a fussy baby with constant movement, work on the computer, make dinner and even breastfeed on the move! The most popular way to use the Moby Wrap is in the ergonomically correct facing in position, which supports the baby's spine with three different strips of fabric. Your baby can also face out, or even be worn on your back or hip in the Moby Wrap.

When not in use as a baby carrier, it is always nice to have the Moby Wrap on hand to use as an extra blanket, pillow, nursing cover, diaper changing pad, or sun shade. You will likely find your own uses for the Moby Wrap!

We sometimes receive questions about the fact that the Moby Wrap is manufactured in Thailand. The president of Moby Wrap lived with her family is Thailand from 2004-2006 and set up the Thai corporation and factory that manufacture the Moby Wraps. All employees are adult women receiving excellent wages and benefits.

A lifesaver!!! I love my Moby!!! July 31, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Norton, VA United States
Once again I am hands free! My baby loves it! She fell asleep the first time in it (in the Newborn hug hold). I feel very secure with my one month old in there, there is no way she could fall out. The fabric is soft and the wrap is very comfortable with no pressure points at all! It is one size, my husband and I can both use the same wrap. I like that the wrap is machine washable and dryable, as a mother that is a must! The book that comes with it is very informative. This wrap is VERY long, but can be put on ahead of time. One word of caution, if you lean over even the tiniest bit you need to support a young baby’s head. I think that is it on the product itself. I ordered the Indigo color. It looked a bit different on my computer’s monitor, but I still like the color. However I do have a girl, so it probably wouldn’t have been my first choice if I had seen it in person, but it still isn’t bad. It is kind of a country blue. A tip: You Tube has lots of videos about how to use the Moby.

Best carrier January 27, 2010
Reviewer: Larissa Rucker from Round Lake, MN United States
I wish I had known about the Moby wrap with my first four children. This wrap was very easy to learn how to put on. I was able to make lunch and nurse my 3 month old at the same time! It is very comfortable to wear. I wear it all day with baby in it and did not have any lower back pain or upper back pain. The carriers i used in the past always gave me some sort of pain after only an hour of wearing them. This has been the most comfortable one ever. Every mother needs to have one of these.

Moby Wrap December 27, 2009
Reviewer: Corrine B. from Baltimore, MD United States
I love my moby wrap! I am using it to fly with my 10 month old, but will use it afterwards as well! I was surprised that she didnt mind being a bit contained and fit comfortably in the kangeroo hold. I highly suggest this product.

Ebabycarries.com is a great site! After ordering my wrap, I realized the shipping I'd selected wouldnt get my Moby to me by my flight. I called the company and they easily upgraded my shipping. The women a spoke to was great! I'll never order my carriers from another site! :)

I love my moby so much I got my sister one September 21, 2009
Reviewer: Molly D from Trenton, OH United States
I got my first moby and used it from the time my son was a week old until now (he is 9 months old.)  I have enjoyed the comfort and ease of the moby far more than a traditional carrier.  My sister just had her second baby and I couldn't think of anything better to get her than a moby wrap.

A new mom's dream! December 9, 2008
Reviewer: Heidi from portland, OR United States
A friend of mine was wearing this wrap in a photo I saw of her and her son, it looked so comfortable and her little one was all snuggled at her chest/neck and looked so happy. SO I bought it for my new son and I and I can't say enough good things about it. It looks complicated but it's really not, it only took one look at the manual to figure it out. My son is so happy in it, it calms him once he goes in and he sleeps while I cook, do laundry etc. I finally have two hands instead of one for typing emails too. HIGHLY recommended. I will get this for all my expecting friends in the future, they will love me for it!
